So as many of you read a couple of months ago, I was just convinced that Michigan would dominate the Big Ten, Michigan State would flounder, Iowa would benefit from a soft schedule and Wisconsin would be a tough team as well. Let's see here...For those keeping score at home, my accuracy would be somewhere south of the Mendoza line. Well, allow me to throw at you some lyrical bombs (also known as my thoughts from week #1).
-I was wrong about (The State Of) Michigan. I wasn't only wrong about the Wolverines, I was also wrong about the Spartans, hence, being wrong about the entire State of Michigan. I'm sure that if I had scouted Central Michigan, I would have been wrong about them as well.
-Michigan just lost their season. Way to go! That ship sunk quicker then your average Temple Owl team.
-Speaking of the Owls, how does their team look this season? Anyone think the MAC is regretting that decision? How bad does one team have to be to actually get kicked out of a conference for stinking?
-I've got an idea! Michigan versus Temple! Hey Wolverines, think you could avoid screwing that one up?
-That game was so bad and gave the Wolverines such a bad name, Charlie Sheen and Patrick Swayze had a nice long cry after the game.
-Michigan State looked incredible. I still could be right about them. Remember how good they looked last year? Then the 4th quarter of the Notre Dame game happened. The rest is/was history.
-Hey, has John L Smith found a job yet?
-Speaking of Notre Dame.....Show of hands: Who's upset that Notre Dame is going to stink this year? Anyone?
-Where's Gary Barnett? I think Nick Saban should hire him as an assistant. Man, that would be a lot of weasel for the state of Alabama to handle, would it not?
-So did I read that right or did Colt Brennan have six touchdowns without even playing the whole game? Psssst...Mr. McFadden, there's someone breathing down your Heisman neck!
-Remember Ron Pawlus? Man, I bet Notre Dame could use him right about now.
I'm actually really looking forward to this college football season. I'm thinking there's gonna be a lot of close games and even better, about 10 teams vying for a spot in the BCS title game. Hopefully I'm right. I can guarantee you this: two teams that won't have anything to do with that title game are Notre Dame and Michigan. I can also guarantee you that next week I'll have more to write about. This week was basically a bunch of teams taking on teams they can't beat (unless you are Appawhatever State). So till next week....
That's all folks!
